Effects of BioGME Technology on Soil and Plants
The development of foliage and increasing the bearing of trees largely depends on the development of tree roots. Better expansion of tree roots allows for more absorption of water and nutrients. By using special organic compounds, BioGME technology is trying to improve the soil and nutritional conditions of plants and at the same time be compatible with the environment.
Improving soil structure and reducing soil compaction leads to better root development, reduced water consumption in agriculture and horticulture, and better activity of soil microorganisms.
- Improved soil ventilation
- Increasing the amount of plant’s usable water
- Improved permeability and movement of water in the soil
Reduced effects of salinity (sodium and chlorine) and soil lime, leading to better vegetative and reproductive growth and enhanced yield.
- Soil pH control
- By reducing the effects of lime in the soil, the efficiency of phosphorus absorption by the plant from the soil is improved.
- Increased absorption of low consumption elements including zinc, iron, manganese
Increased soil’s organic matter, which includes the following results.
- Increased activity of soil microorganisms
- Maintaining the balance of nitrogen and carbon in the soil
- Increased efficiency of the absorption of nutrients
- Absorption of water by organic matter and slowly making it available to the plant
By covering the pistachio orchards of Yazd, Kerman and Markazi Provinces, the BioGME technology has been able to save the decaying orchards by improving the soil and in other cases enhance the yield and quality of pistachios.
By covering the almond orchards in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, one of the poles of almond production in Iran, BioGME technology has been able to increase the productivity of almond orchards in this province by improving the soil.
